History
The 610-foot WW2 light cruiser Wilkes-Barre was sunk in 1972 as part of the artificial reef project.
Dive Description
This sleek cruiser is totally intact, sitting upright in 320 feet of water. Her superstructure begins at 140 feet, and her deck is at 210 feet. Her massive size has created a large attraction for big animals, and sperm whales, whale shark, manta rays and loggerhead turtles have been seen at the site. Due to her depth, obviously only highly qualified decompression divers should even consider this wreck.
